Story

Started in music. Building worlds now.

Chaz Mabry makes fiction, music, software, performance, and physical artifacts that help people turn private meaning into shared worlds.

Origin

Started in music.

Songs were the first way Chaz learned to build a world out of almost nothing: a room, a few friends, a cheap setup, and a feeling that would not leave.

Method

Built a DIY media language.

Performance, video, labels, jokes, flyers, aliases, and web experiments became a way to make work feel authored before it felt polished.

Worlds

Moved into systems and story bodies.

The work widened into fiction, simulations, archives, public portals, and tools that treat imagination as infrastructure instead of decoration.

Tools

Built tools around the work.

Roark's technology lane starts from the artist's side of the room: AI as amplifier, not replacement; software as a way to organize, inspect, and share what humans are already trying to make.

Container

Made Roark the container.

Roark Media Collective is the studio structure forming around the whole ecosystem: fiction, music, tools, publishing, physical artifacts, public art, and future client work held together by meaning over extraction.

Roark

Meaning over extraction.

Roark Media Collective is an artist-led creative system for fiction, music, tools, archives, physical artifacts, public art, and ethical creative technology.

Dark cinematic Kanon landscape used as temporary visual proof
Homepage intro film direction: Chaz seen through a melting sheet of ice held in a picture frame.

Process film

The ice-frame intro is the first cinematic process artifact.

The image is simple: a physical frame, a sheet of ice, a human figure emerging as the surface melts. It says the same thing as the site: systems can make inner worlds visible.

When the footage is ready, this section can swap from still proof to hosted video without changing the site structure.

Work together

One paid doorway, kept human.

Creative Systems Sprint

A focused strategy/build sprint for turning a messy creative ecosystem into a map, website structure, launch copy, workflow plan, and 30-day action path.

Cinematic Process Artifact

A short brand film, homepage intro, or social cutdown built from a real physical or creative process, designed to be memorable because it is specific.
